Poetry Series – Silent Crying

Sometimes it feels like the whole world is crashing down around me. Normally, right now, I’d be running. Pack my car up, have someone help with my son a few extra days for the week, and run – put enough distance between myself and everyone that thinks they know me.

My boyfriend doesn’t know it, but every week he keeps me from running. Maybe it’s because I feel like I’m still running, only it’s to him rather than away from anything. Maybe it’s just enough to meet the need but the ache is still there when he’s not and I’ve gotten out of the habit of letting another body bandaid the wounds on mine.

Silent Crying

It’s been loud
I need quiet
so many sound
but silent crying
always busy
yet still trying
can’t catch up
just time I’m buying
I write it out
got the wrong timing
ready to shout
but silent crying

Much love, until next time.
