Poetry Series – Beacon

Hello, audience, be my platform. Can we have a conversation about how love and fear are at the root of everything? They are the thread weaving the world together and we are complicating it far the fuck more than we need to. Can I say that? Will anyone listen? I feel like screaming it and the urge gets louder and louder.

I desperately want to help people that want to be helped. I have the tools, the knowledge, the understanding, the patience, and I’m ready to help – show me the people, where are they? I promise you that this hustle and bustle of life is not all there is. There’s happiness too – peace, calm. I don’t know how to find my people, but I’m ready for you.

Beacon

I close my eyes and see myself
holding the light
guiding the path
keep walking forward
and people will follow
guide them
don’t go searching
don’t veer off your path
they’ll see your light
they’ll find you
be a beacon
in the dark
we need direction
support
understanding
love
you are everything
humbled
to nothing
I’m on the path
it’s safe
I promise
come closer
I’ll show you
we’ll walk
together
